How to choose the right vehicle for your charter motorcoach trip
It’s the biggest question faced by anyone planning a charter motorcoach trip: What size vehicle do I need? If the vehicle is too small, passengers and luggage may be too tightly packed. Too large, and you’re paying for space that’s not being used.
DATTCO offers four main varieties of motorcoach for charter trips. Each one has different seating, amenities, and storage capacities. Here’s a rundown of what we offer.
Premium Double Decker Motorcoach
Our premium double-decker motorcoaches are wheelchair accessible. They are ideal for large groups who need maximum capacity without sacrificing comfort and are more economical than chartering two vehicles. These buses are perfect for long-distance travel or city tours where a higher vantage point enhances the sightseeing experience.
- Capacity: Up to 72 passengers
- Seating: Comfortable, spacious seating with ample legroom. Seatbelt-equipped.
- Luggage: Large undercarriage compartments and overhead storage bins
- Amenities: Restrooms, power outlets, air conditioning, onboard entertainment systems, and Wi-Fi. DVD player available. Panoramic views.
Premium Motorcoach
This type of motorcoach is the most common choice for medium to large groups. It provides a balance of capacity and comfort, making it suitable for corporate events, school trips, and either local or long-distance tours. Premium motorcoaches are wheelchair accessible.
- Capacity: 52-56 passengers
- Seating: Plush, reclining seats with armrests and footrests and plenty of legroom. Seatbelt-equipped.
- Luggage: Sizable undercarriage compartments and overhead storage bins
- Amenities: Restrooms, individual reading lights, overhead storage, air conditioning, power outlets, Wi-Fi, and entertainment systems. DVD player available.
Premium Mid-Size Motor Coach
A mid-size motorcoach is ideal for smaller groups who still require many of the amenities found in larger coaches. These are great for more intimate trips where your group can travel together comfortably, sharing space and socializing on the way.
- Capacity: 36 passengers
- Seating: Comfortable, plush seats with enough legroom for extended trips. Seatbelt-equipped.
- Luggage: Adequate storage space in the undercarriage and overhead bins
- Amenities: Air conditioning, restrooms, power outlets, and Wi-Fi. DVD player is available and flat-screen monitors are viewable from multiple angles.
Premium Mini Coaches
Mini coaches are perfect for small groups or short-distance travel on a budget. They are often used for shuttle services, airport transfers, or small corporate outings but are comfortable enough for overnight and multi-day excursions.
- Capacity: Up to 30 passengers
- Seating: Surprisingly comfortable seating arrangements with sufficient space. Seatbelt-equipped.
- Luggage: Limited storage, best for short trips or day excursions
- Amenities: Air conditioning, restrooms, and entertainment options including DVD player and flat-screen monitors.
