A Look Back to DATTCO in the 1980s

DATTCO is turning 100! To celebrate this incredible milestone, let’s hop on the nostalgia train and journey back to the fabulous 80s. Big hair, neon colors, and unforgettable tunes – it was a decade of excess and excitement.

In the 1980s, DATTCO cruised the roads in style in an Eagle Model 15 motorcoach. The model 15 was a 43-53 passenger coach, featuring large side windows, a high windshield, rectangular headlights, and a redesigned front cap. These buses were leased to DATTCO by the Greater Hartford Transit District for commuter service. They became part of the fleet until Eagle stopped manufacturing motorcoaches in the 1990s.

Can you imagine hopping on this historic bus? It’s a reminder of how far transportation has come, and how DATTCO has been a constant presence on the road, connecting communities for a century. Stay tuned for more glimpses into DATTCO’s past as we celebrate our 100th anniversary!
